About Todd...
“I think horses are the kindest and most tolerant of the domesticated animals. They are the most patient teachers.”
Todd graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, and spent several years practicing as a large animal vet. Why spend your days as a farrier instead of a vet? Todd's answer: "While practicing as a veterinarian, it seemed like everything was somehow connected to the horses feet."
Since beginning his career as a farrier 1991, Todd has developed an impressive resume including working with international riders and the USET at competitions like Lumulehn, Rolex, Bromont, Fox Hall and Jersey Fresh. A highlight of his career has been taking care of the United States Equestrian Team since 2003, primarily working for the Show Jumping and Dressage teams. During this time Todd has been fortunate enough to be part of 2 Olympic gold medals, 2 Rolex wins and countless other successes.
In addition to practicing at some of the world's most prestigious competitions, Todd has developed a following of many upper level event horses and has been fortunate to work on some of the great ones such as, Eagle Lion, Winsome Andante and Critical Decision on a regular basis.
Todd is regarded as one of the nations top resources in his field, as has been published in many popular magazines, textbooks, farrier journals and scientific journals in both the human and veterinary field.
“We have to remember we are all here for the horses.”
